This luminous Illusion Glass work captures the ethereal, drifting grace of a coral-colored jellyfish suspended in a tranquil turquoise sea, its translucent bell and trailing tentacles rendered with delicate, flowing precision. Hand-painted with specialized European enamel glass paints that fuse permanently to the surface upon firing, the jellyfish glows with rich depth and otherworldly beauty—soft coral pinks, iridescent sheens, and subtle turquoise undertones creating an illusion of gentle, weightless movement suspended in glass.
The circular composition is framed in traditional lead came construction, accented by hand-twisted silver plated copper wirework that forms wave-like, organic connections flowing downward from the bell. Iridescent, volcanic, and cobalt blue Austrian crystals encircle the body, catching light in shifting, oceanic sparkles. The tendrils terminate in copper beads, ending with a striking cobalt faceted teardrop dangle that evokes the final ripple of a current.
