Creole Cottage #926

A New Orleans Creole Cottage

From our studio in Folsom, Louisiana, this creole cottage creation is just completed!

This hand-sculpted polymer clay soap holder takes the form of a Creole cottage numbered 926. The façade is painted in Caribbean colors — seafoam walls, a lime door, yellow windows, purple shutters, and a yellow gable under a dark porch roof. A tiny semi circular black iron fence stands beneath the window. Flower pots and a golden mailbox flank the front. A crystal-studded cross marks the wall.

Around the sides, sculpted florals rise against textured royal blue and purple panels. At the back, a banana plant grows from the clay. Twenty Austrian crystals in cobalt, peridot, and flamingo catch the light along the heart-stamped terracotta base and roofline.

The piece is specifically fitted for a Bath & Body Works® foaming soap bottle and sits on clear feet. It can also hold a small vase arrangement, pens, or brushes. One of a kind. Signed on the base by Art Illusions by Young.
