Handcrafted Copper & Clay – A Garden Jewel for Hummingbirds
This luminous handcrafted hummingbird feeder transforms a deep cobalt blue bottle into a functional garden sculpture adorned with vibrant purple pansies. From our studio in Folsom, Louisiana, each feeder begins with a carefully selected bottle which is hand-wrapped in graceful copper wire shaped into elegant, organic tendrils and supports. Hand-sculpted polymer clay flowers, leaves, and accents are individually formed and enhanced with rich detail, bringing lifelike texture and color to the piece.
The design balances beauty and functionality: a drilled stopper with either a poly or custom bent copper tube ensuring proper nectar flow, while the decorative copper cage provides both structure and visual charm. A delicate red flower port completes the artistic touch at the feeding point. Suspended from a handmade sturdy copper hanging loop with bead and wire accents, this feeder turns an everyday necessity into a sculptural accent that enhances any garden, porch, or outdoor space.
Each hummingbird feeder is one-of-a-kind, born from our desire to create beautiful alternatives to ordinary plastic feeders. Though all feeders may drip slightly in high heat, our designs prioritize both artistic elegance and practical performance.
Materials: Cobalt blue glass bottle, heavy gauge copper wire and decorative hand-twisted golden wire, polymer clay flowers and metallic gold foil accents, European glass crystal details, decorative ceramic knob hanger, poly nectar tube with silicone flower, silicone stopper. The following photos display both styles of nectar tubes and flowers for reference.
