Betta Illusion Glass - Dance of Silk Fins in Painted Light

$375.00

Mesmerizing Betta - Silk Fins Flowing in Painted Grace

From our studio in Folsom, Louisiana, this luminous Betta Illusion Glass celebrates the mesmerizing grace of a beloved pet betta. Its flowing fins undulate like silk sheets caught in a gentle underwater wind, creating an ethereal dance of color and movement. Hand-painted with specialized European enamel glass paints that fuse permanently to the surface upon firing, the fish, its iridescent scales, and sweeping fins glow with rich depth and lifelike motion. Vibrant blues, fiery reds, emerald accents, and subtle gold highlights weave an illusion of fluid, living dance suspended in glass.

The circular composition is framed in traditional lead came construction and accented by hand-twisted copper wirework that forms elegant, organic tendrils and supports. Crystal and glass bead accents add gentle sparkle and rhythmic balance. The piece is suspended from a custom copper hanging element and rests above a customized bowl base, evoking the betta’s effortless, watery elegance.

Designed with a deliberate dual nature, it reveals its full magic in two lights: radiant and translucent when natural daylight shines through from behind, unveiling vibrant depth and illusion of motion; painterly and richly atmospheric when viewed in ambient indoor light or shade, appearing as a glowing, hand-painted composition suspended in time.

Created through more than 40 hours of meticulous handwork, every Betta Illusion Glass is a singular original. Natural variations in glass, pigment, and light refraction ensure that no two pieces are ever identical.

Dimensions: Approximately 4” diameter (glass panel), total height including hanging and base ~16–18”.

Materials: Hand-cut art glass, lead came and solder, European enamel glass paints, hand-twisted copper wire, crystal and glass beads, customized base.

Price: $375

Serious inquiries welcome. Message for additional photos, custom variations, or shipping details. Each piece emerges after more than 40 hours of meticulous handwork and remains a unique original.
