A still bayou, sealed in translucent epoxy. This original lamp table holds a complete south Louisiana swamp beneath a 1.5-inch pour. Five hand-painted real crawfish and eight minnows rest among driftwood and pecky cypress. Hand-sculpted cypress knees rise through the surface with polymer clay Louisiana irises — stems, buds, and leaves placed so they appear to grow from the water. Natural leaves, wood stems, and water grasses carpet the swamp floor, giving the tabletop true depth and quiet movement.
Nearly a gallon and a half of epoxy seals the scene. The plants and knees gather around the lamp post so the light seems to rise from the water itself. The wood pedestal is whitewashed and wrapped in authentic crawfish netting, ending in a mosaic of epoxied pebbles on a circular base with painted green trim. A speckled amber crushed-glass globe and soft oval shade cast a warm glow across the frozen bayou below.
