Honeycomb Illusion Glass Painted Honeycomb - A Golden Moment of Care

$375.00

Golden Bee Tending the Honeycomb - A Quiet Act of Devotion

From our studio in Folsom, Louisiana, this luminous Honeycomb Illusion Glass is inspired by a quiet moment next door. A beekeeper gently reveals the honeycomb, where a single golden bee still tends the comb chambers with careful devotion. Hand-painted with specialized European enamel glass paints that fuse permanently upon firing, the bee, its delicate wings, and the hexagonal honeycomb glow with rich depth and lifelike warmth. Golden amber tones, creamy yellows, and subtle highlights create an illusion of living labor suspended in glass.

The circular composition is framed in traditional lead came construction and accented by hand-twisted copper wirework that forms elegant, organic tendrils and supports. Crystal beads, glass accents, and a small enameled bee charm at the base add subtle sparkle and narrative completion. The piece is suspended from a custom copper hanging element and rests above a flared, customized bowl base, evoking a gentle downward flow of sweetness and care.

Designed with a deliberate dual nature, it reveals its full magic in two lights: radiant and translucent when natural daylight shines through from behind, unveiling vibrant depth and illusion; painterly and richly atmospheric when viewed in ambient indoor light or shade, appearing as a glowing, hand-painted composition suspended in time.

Created through more than 40 hours of meticulous handwork, every Honeycomb Illusion Glass is a singular original. Natural variations in glass, pigment, and light refraction ensure that no two pieces are ever identical.

Dimensions: Approximately 4” diameter (glass panel), total height including hanging and base ~16–18”.

Materials: Hand-cut art glass, lead came and solder, European enamel glass paints, hand-twisted copper wire, crystal beads, seed bead glass accents, custom formed base.

Price: $375

Serious inquiries welcome. Message for additional photos, custom variations, or shipping details. Each piece emerges after more than 40 hours of meticulous handwork and remains a unique original.
