Jellyfish Mobile
Chihuly-Inspired Light Catcher
Drifting Jellyfish Beneath a Netted Canopy
Ocean Light and Motion
This luminous art mobile light catcher brings the magic of the ocean indoors. From our studio in Folsom, Louisiana, a decorative and authentic netted canopy — sisal-wrapped and suspended from a walnut laser-cut wooden disc — forms the crowning structure. Beneath it, four miniature versions of our original Chihuly-inspired jellyfish drift gracefully, each handcrafted with flowing tentacles and iridescent details.
A genuine bejeweled epoxied starfish anchors the center, while four lengths of decorative hand-strung wood, silver, and gold metallic glass seed beads, copper metal spacers, and a pretty AB glass crystal bead add shine and movement. A golden metal seahorse carries a gorgeous 50mm aurora borealis water drop crystal that catches the sunlight, casting abundant light prisms. Strings of multicolor fabric “seagrass” add soft texture and gently encircle the sea life below.
Measuring approximately 26” long by 6” wide, this mobile turns slowly with the breeze, transforming light and air into a living underwater ballet. Ideal for nurseries, sunrooms, or any space where you wish to bring the serene beauty of the ocean and the wonder of drifting jellyfish.
